About StrongMamaCore
I remember standing in my bedroom, exhausted, staring down at a body I didn't recognise
— and having absolutely no idea what to do to help myself feel like myself again.
Was that back pain normal or a sign I was doing damage? Why did my neck ache from feeding all day, and why did I feel weaker than I'd ever felt in my life? How do I close my abdominal separation? What exercises can help me to strengthen my pelvic floor? Nobody hands you an instruction manual for this.
You leave the hospital knowing how to care for your baby but
having absolutely nothing about
how to help your body to recover from all it just went through.
And here's the thing — even with all my training as a PT, I still had to piece it together myself. The diastases, pelvic floor stuff? That's a completely different world, and there was barely any real guidance out there, even for someone in the industry. So I went and did the postnatal and pelvic floor training properly, myself, so I'd actually know — not guess.
Because I know what it's like to be running on interrupted sleep, feeling insecure in your own body, carrying constant back pain and neck pain and that heavy sense of "I used to be strong, what happened to me?" — all while a baby needs you 24/7. You are not meant to also have the time or energy to research exercise science on top of all that. That's not fair to ask of you. So I did the research instead, so you don't have to.
That's exactly why Mums & Bubs class exists.
You don't need to know what's safe and what's not — I already do. You don't need to figure out how to rebuild your core, calm your pelvic floor, fix that hunched-over-feeding posture, or get your strength back — that's my job now, not yours. Bring bub along. Bring the tiredness, the uncertainty, the body that feels unfamiliar. You'll be surrounded by other mums carrying the exact same things, and for one hour, someone else is holding the "what am I allowed to do" question so you don't have to.
